Our product, affectionately known as SAM (Smart Audio Merchandiser) is the end result of innovative New Zealanders combining their skills to produce a world beating, on location piece of marketing technology. SAM is a part of the independent Internet-based computer system delivering music and messages to your store. Let's have a look at the diagram... SAM at work! Everything starts in our Production Centre where all messages and music are prepared. When they are ready, we send them to our Network Centre using a fast ADSL connection. Here all data is stored on powerful and stable servers. Each server is plugged into an emergency power supply (UPS) to make it immune to power faults. The Network Centre is protected with sophisticated security systems including firewall for safe internet connections. Now, let's move into your store! Our little SAM box will be installed here. All you need is a telephone line and a sound system. If a sound system is not available, or needs to be upgraded, Australasian Audio Engineering will quote to install. A telephone line is needed to allow SAM to access the Internet. This access is managed by the SAM platform to happen in the early hours of the morning so as not to interfere with daily operations. Every night SAM automatically establishes safe connection with the Network Centre to check for updates and download any new music tracks or messages. Internet connection is required only for updates and the platform remains disconnected while playing the music during business hours, so no separate telephone line is needed! Your feedback, new message scripts and other requests can be passed on to our Production Centre by email, telephone or fax. The requested updates will be prepared and downloaded by your SAM platform during next session. No other system is so fast, flexible and reliable!
